China Part II

Mood: Bahh :(
Music: Splender - I Think God Can Explain

When Blogger screws up on you and deletes your post that you spent an hour doing, you
1) Throw a fit and refuse to do anything about it
2) Painstakingly type everything out

In my case, first, I throw a fit. Then I leave many days in between to cool down, and then painstakingly type everything out (again). Sigh.

So, let's begin before I change my mind.

Day 3, Suzhou
First we took a not-so-long bus ride to Suzhou, and we met our tour guide. Who was in a DESPERATE need of a TOTAL makeover.
And he started to teach us how to speak the Suzhou dialect.
And the worst part, he didn't know how to SHUT UP!

"Neh hah!" (With the exclamation) Which means "Ni Hao" in Chinese which is a greeting in English.
And
Well I can't remember because I wasn't paying attention. Haha.
I think the only person paying attention was LaoShi. Sadly. Oh and Jasmine. Haha!

Then following which, we went to Tiger Hill which was supposedly China's version of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. But apparently it tilts more than the leaning tower. Hmm wonder why it's less popular then. :S Then we had some time- okay, A LOT of time to take photos. But because my camera went flat, and I wasn't in a mood to take photos because I was rather turned off by our very fantastic tour guide (sarcasm intended), Nicole and I rushed to sit on those Old Man chairs (private joke) and ate and AND OMG THIS IS THE FUN PART!

Suddenly some Eropean people came up to us and ask "Do you know a [something something I can't remember]?"
And all of us were like "huh?!"
And he was like "Something something kitchen"
And I was like "huh?!"
And they were like "Never mind, it's just a silly joke"
And everyone was like "Ohh..." and I was like "huh?!"

Then the tour guide made us walk and walk and walk some more and we found those two people again! And Nic and I decided to call them Bo Zo. Haha!

Boarded the bus and headed for Han Shan Shi (temple) which was a total waste of time. Sorry no offense to anyone, but being a Christian, I don't really like a place that is one third filled with incense, one third filled with cigarette smoke, and one third filled with people. I'm fine with them individually, but when they all combine together, they make me a very unhappy girl. So Nic and I just sat around dazing and totally not listening to the tour guide, spotting flowers and laughing and Seeyue trying to take macro shots.
When we were given (yet again) lots of photo taking cum exploring time, Nicole Teo and I just sat around doing Sudoku while Seeyue attempted her macro shots (yet again) haha!

Finally we had something we like - DINNER!
And Seeyue claims the place makes people forget names. She forgot Lipin's and Jasmine's name!

"It's a name of a flower"
"Um...um... CHRYSANTHEMUM!"

Silly silly. And she couldn't remember Lipin's name. Poor thing. Then Nicole came up with this game called The Watermelon Game. Where you must finish your piece of watermelon before the turning thing on the table makes its way back to you. It's the best way to finish the plate of fruits. And we've been playing it every lunch and dinner ever since :)
And Lipin started pouring soup onto the bowl her finger! Amazing huh! And we were like asking for a glass of ice water. But the lady gave us a glass of water, without the ice. But because it's autumn, it was rather cold. Super funny.

After a very satisfying dinner, we went to Jinji Lake. Which was super cool. Definitely the best way to end the day. It was chilly because it was near the lake, and it was super cool because we could sit with whoever we want! And we (dinnertablegang - grace + joanne) bought the sugared san zha and had damn a lot of fun! And then suddenly there were this primary girls that stood in front of us. And our conversation went something like this:
"Shit! Shit! Shit!!"
"Don't swear it's really bad"
*stares at us like they've never seen anyone more beautiful than us*
(In our kindest tone possible) "Don't worry. We're from the secondary school. You can sit with us if you want to"
"Oh! There they are!" (Stands totally in our view, blocking us with their not-as-pretty faces)
(Annoyed now) "Okay okay you found your friends. Now get lost"

Okay I said the get lost part.
And then someone dropped a glass and the seven of us in total Singaporean fashion went "WHOOOAAAAAA" haha and so many people started staring at us! Making us wish we never Whoa-ed.
And then after waiting for a thousand years, there were FIREWORKS! And lights. And water fountain! So nice! And we all started screaming like crazy cos it was AWESOME.
And like natural reflexes, our cameras were whipped out and we started shooting pictures!

After a totally awesome night, we had a dinner party! Bad idea to hold it in Tiffany and Lipin's room. Miss Or and Laoshi came knocking on our doors. It was sad :( I shan't elaborate. Haha.

Day 4
It was a funny day. Not Haha-funny, but strange-funny. We went to this place called Mu Du Gu Zheng which was this totally weird place. It was some examination place. And we toured places (yet again) and finally we had this calligraphy competition! And Seeyue Nic Grace and I were sitting in the front place (BAD MOVE) and everyone started staring at us! And I think Grace was left handed. And so is Seeyue and I. So the people staring were like "Whoa...all write with left hand..." Haha. And the ink they gave us to write with was super smelly!
And Seeyue, having severe short term memory, forgot how to write her name. AHA!

After that, we went to Panmen City. It was quite fun. More touring and all. And this was the funny part.
Me: Hey Nic look! Moon island! Let's go take a picture!"
*takes picture and carry on walking*
Then we see a bigger island. And this is so funny.
Seeyue sees it and goes,"Whoa what's this. Sun island ah haha"
And true enough, it really was! And because it was big enough to fit seven people, what else can we do? The dinnertablegang went to take pictures! :D:D
And we walked around and I started to open Pocky and everyone started taunting Lipin because she had a sore throat and couldn't eat dry snacks :)
And another funny moment!
Nic: let's play a game!
Priscilla: (knowing it's gonna be bad) Okay...
Nic: we must find something purple. And the first person to spot it must point towards it and go "BANG!"
Priscilla: (turns around at Amelia who so happens to be wearing a purple jacket) "BANG."

haha! And we saw some magician performing some trick. Haha it's quite cool. But dumb at the same time haha.

Following which, we went to Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory. And the poor silk worms!
Question! What do they do with the silk worms after the silk has been extracted?
Answer: They eat it. Because it's nutritious
And the primary girls were like "ew!" and the lady was like "it's good! it's very good for your complexion" and proceeds to pop one in her mouth. Just like that. RAW. And she went "who wants it?" And because they heard it was good for their skin, they were grabbing to eat it. Gross AND desperate. And Seeyue and I wanted to buy a bolster. HAHA! And it got so boring, we ended up sitting at a corner and just doing nothing.

At night wasn't much of anything because we had to rest early because we were going to SCHOOL the next day(:

Okay I'm tired. I will continue another day. :)
