Lyrics and Poetry

Want to know what I think is (good) poetry?
But knowing that I don't really read and listen more to songs, I'll rephrase.
Want to know what/whose songs (in my opinion) are so good they can just be poems in themselves?
Most of the time when I think of which band/singer can write songs this good, I think of
Dashboard Confessional
Jars of Clay
Hymns (seriously)

And today, guess who I thought of? Rachael Yamagata

It's been such a long time since I opened her CD, partly because I mostly listen to Edward now, and secondly because it's autographed (!!!!) so I don't want to spoil it. But today I just had to had to look for the lyrics to I'll Find A Way and I found this song instead. It's so well written, I'm at a lost for words to describe how powerful it is.

Wow. It's so...wow. Yeah. Perfect way to end my rather awful day, with the failing of Social Studies (haha I'm officially a model Singaporean student hurhur) and horrible history (hey look! alliteration! I just made Thomsett proud heh) But at least Chinese was fun! Speaking of which, I better go study for my O Levels now. I need my A1 in order to fulfil my ACJC dream haha.

I wish I could write like that.
