one pot and three things

A dad took his daughter to the kitchen after she wanted to give up doing something.

'Dad,' the little girl said, ' why did you bring me here?"

'You'll see,' the dad replied.

The dad took out three pots and filled them with water. Then he let the pots of water boil. When the three pots of water boiled, he added a carror into the first pot, a raw egg into the second pot, and coffee beans into the second pot.

After a while, he took out the carrot and put it on a plate. He let his daughter touch it and take a bite.

'Its soft, compared to before it was boiled,' the daughter said.

"The carrot is hard and strong at first, but once it gets into hot water, it turns soft weak," the dad said.

Next, he took out the egg and said,' The egg is fragile at first, but once it gets into hot water it turn hard."

Finally, he seaved out the coffe beans and let his daughter sip and smell the aroma of the coffee.

"Mm..." she said, ' Its really nice!"

"Now you see, are we like the carrot, the egg, or the coffee beans?' the dad asked. 'Are we like the carrot, which at first seems so hard and strong. but yet when when we get into trouble or face obstacles, we turn soft and weak. Or are we like the egg. Fragile at first, but once the trouble is over, turns hard and inpenetrable. or are we like the coffee beans. Once we get into hot water, we work hard and change the situation to something better. and the hotter the water, the more efficient it is?"

I wish I could be like the coffee bean. Taken from morning devotions in school. :)

Family Tree!

Haha today bernice drew a family tree to show how its possible to marry someone with the same surname. Not that she and I are going to marry each other. EW! and its so cool cos we are both Chans, and we hope we can be Mrs (something la not for you to know). haha! :)

Well. Chinese was quite crap la. Fell asleep again. Not surpising I guess. Oh oh wednesday's test was so crap la. I spend half the duration of the test sleeping haha! i seriously hope i pass man. tho it wont be surprising if i failed.

other than that. I need my free chem tutor quick! But my tutor has found a job. ):. hah looks like i'll have to kope on another day then. And Miss Cheah is really nice! :)

Surprisingly, my mouth doesnt hurt. Im so excited. Only set back is that Im having it on the day before st lukes concert! oh great.

Dental2

Hah. I swear (ok not not) that its awsome cool to visit the dentist. Haha its pain no doubt. hah the dentist went to inject anesthesia into me mouth! I was more scared of the injection than anything else haha. But its cool! I dont think I'll post a picture of my teeth even tho its cool cos i dont think many people would find it nice. Wahaha.

I got my metal rings/reinforcements. Aha they're so cool!! They feel weird tho. Weirder than those sperators which i was dying to take out. Rah my teeth space has been bleeding for one/two hours plus plus. ):. But still, braces are cool.

Oh dear. Im getting them the day before st lukes concert! mamamia how to 'ta han'?!

"So You Think You Can Dance?" yesterday was quite. disppointing. hah I thought it wouldnt be as bad as AMI but oh well. hah the auditon rooms were so pathetic! the judges looked so unglam and '1900s' according to my brother haha.

On another note, congrats to Ruijun for being the handbells vice-chairman 2006! :) keep doing your job well and in everthing you do, do it as for the Lord and not for man! (but of course, do for me also can lar) :P

Concerts

Well, my piano teacher who works in the Esplanade didnt buy jason mraz concert tickets for me. ): im so sad. AND he had to make it worse by saying "should i go back there for a while with my camera?" then he said "dream on!". rah. So unfair.

Speaking of concerts, my school is having one!

Yesterday I went dentist! And the dentist inserted some seperator thing in my mouth. four of 'em. At first, i thought it was so cool and kept on 'chewing' to feel the rubber thingys. but this morning it started hurting! :(. and its kinda been pain. rah i cant eat any more chocolate! and its not just where the seperators are put, the whole mouth kinda hurts but the front part is not that bad - yet. wait till i put on the real thing. then i'll die.

My Dream!!

OH MAN LAST NIGHT I HAD THE BEST DREAM EVER! I DREAMT OF JASON MRAZ!!!! WAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MAN! but my dream was really weird. there was handbells, su camp, MR FONG?! , church, 1d, a camera,and REN JEAN!! hahahha okay so what happen was. we were practicing for syf. then dunno what happen then i saw ren jean. so i started playing her violin like shit. then mr fong came in and blah blah blah skip to the jason mraz part! so he came to mg, and was sitting at the steps near the primary bball court. then he was singing and stuff.

then when he went "I.....................wont worry my life away..." then i was like "I.....................love you jason mraz!"!!!!! hahahah okay okay. then he heard it and turned around. then smiled at meee!!!!

ok then i went back to playing ren jeans' violin. then dunno what happen i went back to the bball court. then sam chan (my free maths tutor) was there, then i didnt bring my camera (school wad...they dont allow cameras=/) so i borrowed sam chans camera and when the crowd arnd jason mraz cleared, i went to talk to him and asked if he remembered me. then he said no. then dunno what dunno what then we took a picture together! whooopee!!

then dunno what head back to su dorms. which are TOTALLY DIFFERENT from what are in real life. no idea why. then i found my dorm. and three of pastor bernard's children were there. and anthea was so tiny in the dream. but shes quite big in real life now. heh.

haha thats the end of my very very weird and nice dream! have a nice day everyone!

Night Time

Night time last night was fun. I finally talked to someone for so long in so many days! Haha do I sound like a telephone addict? I think I am anyway.

i miss those times i talked with you for so long your phone went flat, then i would call your house and we would talk till one of us got too tired. And especially the time where we started at our normal ending time, and we talked till 3am. :) then slowly they got shorter, with less words, until everything was just "hi, how's your day?" and "it's fine today blahblahblah happened and blah blah blah...". then you'll say "ok cool" and the rest of it would be silence. why? cos you were gaming. dont you see how much gaming has taken you away from this world, and dont you see how gaming has destroyed your life?! well, if thats the way you want it. there you have it. you now have more time to game instead of holding your hp and all your rah rah rah.

But anyway. I'm moving on. Yesterday, Bernice learned 4 new things from me!
1. She learnt how to use Firefox!
2. She learnt how to create a new account!
3. Bah i forgot!
4. I forgot too!

RAH RAH READING TKAM IS SO TIME CONSUMING!

rah now sucks being online. even those there's 38 people online (which is a ralative amount depending on the amount of contacts you have. in my case, its 13.333% *so little!*) and none of them are my usual talking partners! and out of the 38 people, 20 is either busy/away/whater. and one of the contacts is me! (Haha i know it sounds stupid to add yourself on msn, but its' fun!) so that leaves me with 17 people to talk to. One doesnt reply, i bet he's gaming and the rest I'm not even close to! RAHHHHHHHHH SHIFU COME ONLINE I MISS YOU!!!!! but if you're sick, then go and rest okay? Shifus dont fall sick. Or do they?

and my best friend is asleep :( (now's 2.22pm) Haha we have weird sleeping habbits. We keep competing who can wake up the latest. Chances are I always win haha! But yesterday I was a total pig lar. I woke up at 11.30,then i went online, then I had a headache from being online too long, then i went to sleep for i think 1 hour. hahah then cos i was too lazy to change out of my pj, my sis came back so i jumped out of bed and she went "Did you just wake up?!" haha so i said no. then after bathing, I read TKAM for a while, then got tired, and slept again! haha how amazing huh. then i went to the playground to stone for a little while. Then I came back and wanted to fall asleep again, but mum said it was dinner time. =/

anyway. back to today. my mum dragged me out of bed at 9.40. pls! so early! ok anyway. then i washed clothes or rather, set the washing machine, and i hanged the clothes! and then I cooked porridge cos my dear mama's sick. And I was reading TKAM (again i know) and then around 12 i felt tired again so i fell asleep. then i woke up around one and called you, but then you didnt pick up. well, not that i really wanted to call you anyway. just felt like dialing those 8 digits. then i called giddy but he was out, so i called my bestie hoping she was awake. well she was, then after that she hung up cos she wanted to go back so sleep. and under her influence, i went back to sleep again!

rah i'm being such a pig haha.

[edit] now, if i do 50 sit ups everyday for 1 month, i'll have abs as beautiful as liquans! and i'll be able to get a belly piercing and have something to poke and not sink instead of always poking eunice. and i'll have something to amuse me when im bored hahahah.

now, if i lift dumbbells for 5 sets of 10 everyday on each hand for one month, i'll be stronger, have more toned arms, have muscular arms so one day i can finally lift up charles tang (but that'll be quite freaky eh?) and i can one day show my bro how strong i am. and then when i continue poking eunice, she'll scream in pain cos im just too way strong hahha. am i making sense? oh no my brain cells are dying rah.

ok ok digressing about getting fit!!! last time, we were carrying the bell cases to the sch hall and we were all complaining how heavy it was. then liniette went "these are like dumb bells." haha then really, they are dumb bells! they cant talk, and they are bells! woohoo not bad.

and digressing more about getting fit. just now i was asking my dad how to spell 'strenghtening', and after spelling it, he said "you should get a dictionary to strenghten your vacab ah!" -.- but hahahha i find it quite funny!!

rah. more about getting fit. if i decide to run at the 'track' behind my house everyday twice a week for 2 months, my stamina should improve and i would be able to get a perfect socre for my pft! oh i havent had that before! how exciting! no really. its exciting. but i seriously doubt i'm gonna do any of those above. including taking out the dictionary to strnghten my vocab. rah.

In this ~~holiday~~ period of time without school rather, I'm gonna transform into a total nerd, wear my specs 24/7, pull up my pants to my boobs, speak chinese for as long as i can (which by the way the record is less than 5 minutes) RAHRAHRAH. haha. And i'm gonna bury all my pain in the homework which is so possible judging from teh amout of work i have. =/. i've already declined 3 invitations to go out. And obviously, I cant make any plans to go out.

family night!

Woohho Family Night was a success!

Practise the whole of eng for 1 1/2 hours and it was one of the best practices ever. But the only sad thing about today was that i forgot to bring my camera. :( so i aint having so many pictures as I would like to. =/ but anyway. Then during VE it was quite a good practice. ms chow made me change my shirt haha.And I'm most proud of our dance because me and bern only choreographed the dance on tuesday, and we added one part just today. haha so cool huh. went for handbells, then came back. oh i joined the handbells menu club! harharhar.

dinner was at six. i actually stood beside my mum to take dinner but she didnt realise. oh well too bad fer her. :P lots of people found the mee siam spicy btu i found it quite bland! so either way, not many people liked to eat it except BERN. cleaned up and helped 2e do their PA. it was super funny during dinner lar! vera was telling me to teach appey how to walk like a bimbo then she overdid it which was so funny to watch! but in the end, she got it so...good job april!

THEN...FAMILY NIGHT!
'm' 'e' 't' went first, and i did the PA correctly! then we played some treasure hunt thing. =/. haha then 'h' went up and then it was our turn!!! :):)

Poor gis screwed up quite a bit. Then the bimbos and rockers went up. hahahaahah and then we had to speak slower :( so we missed our favourite part of the dance URGH! but overall, it was quite okay.

HAHAHAHAHA! so farnee. It was super difficult to dance in heels man. but a good experience. bern's heels were really. WHOA. and 2o's feather boas were like shedding, so wherever you see feathers, 2o was here. heh!

Then we played some mother daughter game, and like 2e AND 2o were like "MRS CHAN! MRS CHAN!" hahahha. So in the end she went. And we're supposed to answer questions. the first was whats your mum's favourite food. hah i got that wrong but other than that i got the next 2 right! second question was what's your mum's favourite colour? PINK! and who's your daughter's best friend? SEEYUE! haha seeyue famous liao. :P

our class won the most retro! woohoo. cos of our feather boas. haha. overall, family night was way better than i thought! although my mum was questioning my top. haha. then she was like "i think i'm gonna have a harder tiem disciplining you than your sis ah." hhaa!

Coincedence

Oh wow so cool. It's raining yet super sunny at my house. But where's the rainbow? I love rainbows, cos they are just so beautiful, and it reminds me of God's promises, and how they always are kept. (:

Well, these few days have been filled with coincidence, but most of all today. On saturday during CG, me and my dad were actually thinking of picking the same song to sing haha. On tuesday, the day after something happened on monday night(well duh), i felt like shutting up, and the normally super noisy bernice was also in a shut-upping mood. how cool huh!

Then today the freakiest thing happened. It was like deja-vu okay! super cool! It was like. whoa. okay I'll stop screaming whatever and explain.

Last time, when I went kap to meet so-and-so1 and so-and-so2, we were sitting like this:

And coincidentally, three of us were sitting in the exact position! but...that's not all! We were saying how cool it was, and remembering those funny people on table2(look at the next picture)

Last time, on table 2, there were three SCGS girls sitting there, and one was doing something not-so-honourable towards the school, or to any female but I shant eleborate in case weizhen comes with a knife after my head.

Well anyway. Today, just as we were about to dig in, three SCGS girls started coming our way and put their bags on table2! So remembering what happened the other time, we stared and gave each other a funny look. Well thankfully, they didnt do not-so-honourable stuff. More time for gaming, more free time, more freedom, no more phone calls, no more wastage of time, no more expplaining, and best of all, no more me! How would you like that huh. I'm sure you want it. And guess what? It's free! Just take and accept. ~~and leave me alone.~~

Oh well. whatever. first few days of my fourteenth year didnt go as well as i expected. but it'll do. I still have my friends. And family night is not so bad afterall. I really love 2E's performance! A job well done guys. :)

ps. Too much of a good thing can be bad. Now i've lost something because maybe I overdid it. =/.

OH RIGHT.

Yesterday, i bake muffins for xiao and they turned out..okay la. and it was fun. so basically yesterday ended off on a happy note.

Today however, sucked. morning and music was fun. And tiffany gave me her Nutella! (: and and we bought some farnee yoghurt and we were feeding among ourselves each other's yoghurt thing.

then values sucked all the way.

borefore values ed, so-and-so said "eh can you guys act more...real etc etc"
then when bernice and i wanted out of this play, the same so-and-so said " eh no bernice you cannot go out cos you act very well." OH RIGHT.

then this-and-that commented when i said i wanted out "oh i'm sure priscilla, you really want to act" oh shit the hell up man. I really dont wnat to act now. initially, maybe, but your attitude and behaviour totally killed my passion for it. OH RIGHT.

then our script is so shitty, because of this certain mrs blah.we proposed our fashion show idea to her. then she said "you all cant do this. not everyone's gonna be on stage. its every parents' joy to se their child on stage. evn if it's just a minor role blah blah bla..."

so in the end we had to go back to square one and have this not-so-fantastic idea. while 2d/s is doing a fashion show and having a good time out there.

then today the same mrs blah said "why are there so many people on stage? what's this group doing there. how come they are just standing there? we need some people of stage..."

OH RIGHT!

you know...whatever! i spend my lunch break talking to gis and ranting about our same displeasures. hahha and i didnt even wnat to go for handbells today. =/

Today i was checking out solitaire showdown scores. and look!

oh whatever. the picture is so blur. anyway. it read that:
liwei had 741 wins (WOW!)
and I had 174 wins (not so wow)

so cool right?! they all contain the numbers 1,4 and 7! okay fine nevermind I sense some people are not amused heh.

Random

Good things come to those who wait. Really. Too bad I didnt wait! oh well.

My term 1 results are...okay. But weird!
In terms of MSG, me and ren jean both tied for second place. :D
In terms of percentage, I'm like...no.12 or 13. haha
So it's satisfactory, but compared to 2E, these are =/.
Heh good thing I'm in 2o so my mum wont scream her head off at me(:
And the best part was...I didnt fail my HCL!

Er..that's about it la. I bought Charissa's present. Tomorrow gonna bake xiaohui's present! :)

Gis and bern! my specs lense came out again today at west mall hahaha!
Today at school, we kept writing 290206 haha. and i purposely went to tell tiffany to write that. I wish there was a 29. so cool. oh whatever.
