Fan!

Mood: Moooo :o
Music: Dashboard Confessional - Reason To Believe

My fan broke in half while I was sleeping. Amazing isnt it. It was soooo scaryboo. And my aircon spoilt. And I'm too lazy to move back to my room boo.

Anyway. Yesterday was a hectic day. I didnt buy what I wanted to anyway. BUT I had a dream that I found and bought it haha!

Gerald lim has a new phone wahahhaha. The theories that we come up with are the best because they work hehe! (:

Wahahah okay on Saturday, it was terrible embarrasing because as i was coming out of the toilet, I slipped and fell in my white blouse, long skirt and court shoes in front of so many shoppers. And hence I skidded and made myself a laughing stock. My knee was hurting, but I could never remain on the floor forever. So I got up with all my strength and continued running as far as I can. And I had a bruise.

And today while bathing, I noticed I had another bruise. And it's shaped like a heart how cute!

In case you are BLIND.

So cute right? :) (in case you're dumb, its my knee and not my wrist or something)

Hand

Mood: Sad :(
Music: Lost Prophets - Rooftops

Dont ask me why I'm sad. I'm in another of those emo crappy moods. Actually there's a reason. But theres not point saying is there. :) I dont want to look back one year later and think "why was I sad over that?" or worse still, become sad all over again. But yet I want what I write to be the truth, to express my inner feelings (hahha how nuts) and when I read this one year later I can go "I dont recall being sad, my life's great!". But thats 365 days from now so we'll worry about that another day.

This picture's for twin! and GISELLE the JOC fan. (I KNOW MY DRAWING IS OUT OF PROPORTION. If you do it on your bed sideways at 1.30am, it probably would be that atrocious too. I think.)

Ooh I love JOC. They're lyrics are just so darn awsome and deep. It was quite funny because I used my own hands and models but forgot to convert one of the hands so my sister said "Eh why all girls hand ah? OMGG YOU LESBIAN EEEE!" hahaha. My sister's only fun at night when shes in a good mood. Then I can poke her hehe. Okay I change my mind. She just scolded me for something I didnt do intentionally RAH.

Thinking about happy thoughts and happy events just makes a person so much happier.

Today is the day I got back my social life. :)

Fact of the day: thinking about happy things make you happier :)

Life will still carry on without you.

[edit]
hoorah just finished Giselle's template. If you're wondering why hers is almost similiar, dont wonder. I just ripped mine and changed the colour schemes. I was even too lazy to change the header. SORRY GISELLE FOR MY LAZINESS. :) I'll make you a nicer one next time.
But honestly, I like yours better than mine now RAH.

If You Would Stop

Mood: Annoyed >:/
Music: Dashboard Confessional - Hands Down

I think my house phone should have a nicer ring tone. Then at least when it rings very very very often, I wouldnt get so pissed. At 9, my idiot sister went to wake me up so that I could open and close the gate for her. SIAO. Then at 10.15, this idiot person called asking for "benjamin" which is a wrong number, and my dad who normally doesnt care HADDDDD to call at 11 to ask if I had breakfast. As if that isnt enough, my mum who calls like 12398729843795 times a day just called.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT : PRISCILLA CHAN WILL NOT DIE IF LEFT ALONE IN THE HOUSE FOR 24 HOURS.

Look. My house has so much food I dont like food anymore. My house has enough instant noodles for me to last a week, and it has enough pasta for consuming. And it certainly has enough gas to do cooking. And enough spreads for my bread. So why are they calling as though I will die! I do not need my dad and I certainly do not need my mum calling in to check in on me. Honestly! And how I wish I wasnt my mum's daughter because she said "if you werent my daughter i wouldnt call" and i was thinking "I wish i werent your daughter". It doesnt help for every sentenca she speaks, she has to give 36382763271 examples. And I told her THREE times that I was going to each kaya bread and she still had to wake me up at 6.30 to say there was tuna in the fridge. SIAO WOMAN.

"Have you eaten?"
[no. so early]
"Oh, you can eat the bread, with kaya, tuna, peanut butter, or you can boil some pasta there is sauce in the fridge, or you can eat the instant noodles, or go to the freezer....."
[yes yes.]
"Have you done your piano? Ah later come and then you have nothing to play, thats not very good. So you can play some songs you like, then do some scales, then practice your pieces then when your teacher comes, he will be happy, then you will be happy. but if you dont practice...."
[I KNOW. YES YES.]
"Ah if theres enough sun, can you help me spin the clothes in the machine. dlkjfladsjflkdjfaf ( gibberish i cant be bothered to process in my brain) "
[Yes yes.]
"Have you packed for your trip? You know later you dont have enough clothes...does your shoe need washing...in the third storey there's a few bags, go and see which one you want and japan is cold yadah yadah yadah"
[Okay.]

And thats like. HALF. the converstation. And she went on about "how hurt she was" the way i didnt want to talk to her and if I talked to seeyue I would be willing but I sound as though I dont want to talk to her. Well thats because I dont think seeyue calls up asking my whats my lunch and what I can do if i havent eaten. There is such a thing as a COFFEE SHOP near by you know.

Honestly, she makes me so pissed I wish I could die or get married and move out. Or get kidnapped then at least they wont go fussing around about me. I'd much rather be left alone when i'm at home and I certainly dont enjoy people fussing about me about my every detail of life. Poof. If you dont know by now, I dont like my mum.

I have 23 hours out of 24 hours to waste. ( 1 hour for GOONG). So why cant she wait until she gets home, before she starts all her nagging HUH HUH HUH. Urgh.

[edit]
I dont feel so angry. My piano teacher picked me up and we had lunch at jurong point. And he talked to me about all these stuff. HAHHA I JUST DISCOVERED MY PIANO TEACHER'S SO OLDDDDD :D. And I bought a little something for SEEYUE and a birthday present for Luwin the BugsBunny. And now I'm broke. I dont feel so eternally grateful to Luwin the BugsBunny now haha yay.

If you dont know what to get me for Christmas, cash in an envelope would do fine. :D.

Fact of the day : dont you think maple is really violent (dont compare it to dota or wow okay)?

The Ultimate Showdown

Mood: Nothing :l
Music: The All American Rejects - Move Along

Welcome welcome to Priscilla's guides to one of lifes very important activity - gaming.
It doesnt matter what type of games you play, violent multi-player ones like DoTA, WOW, Maple (=/), gunbound, cute little games like Orisinal or self-amusing gameslike the bubblegumclub.com or MSN games.

Personally, I like playing MSN games, especially Minesweeper flags, Solitaire Showdown and Hexic. Today, I, Priscilla, together with my present Solitaire Showdown (SS for short) parter Geraldine, will teach you the tools of winning SS.

Disclaimer: Take note that the next few pointers are based on experience and have no scientific proof that can be explained using theories. They are just tried and tested. And proving to be effective.

Now that it has been made known, dont come after us with a deck of poker cards ready to throw it at us. (:

Firstly: Learn the rules of the game well. And plan. Think "if I put this card here, will it let me have more points, or if I just get that point, will I get stuck". Now that you know how to play the game PROPERLY, its time to learn how to WIN.

Step one: Be the one to send the invitation. Find a victim to thrash, then say 'Hi I'm bored' or something somewhat along that line. After the person clicks "Accept", you are ready to move on to the next step.

Step two: Change your music playlist (at least during the game itself). Find songs by the same artist and put them into a playlist. (iTunes is highly recommended). For Geraldine and I, the songs that work the best for us is songs by Panic! At the Disco. Yes, everytime I play it, I win majority of the games, which makes me the winner of the session. And just now, I was owning Geraldine until I said "Its because you're not playing panic" and immediately Geraldine went to change songs. After playing Panic!, Geraldine started winning the next five games.

Step three: Negotiate. When you think your cards suck, bargain with your partner to restart. Even though it ends up as a tie, you get to move on to another game, which could possibly give you more wins. (:

So after rounds of fighting, it ended up with 5 wins to each side (and 6 ties), and due to the stupid bet we made last night, we owe each other starbucks.

There you have it - three VERY simple steps to winning. See? There's a lot more to gaming than meets the eye. Of course dont ask me how to win DoTA or WOW, I havent tried anything like it. Yes I'm a very non-violent girl.

Have fun playing everyone!
(:

p.s. I love my new firefox themes(:

Mood: Happy :)
Music: Hinder - Lips of an Angel

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLES TANG!

You're...18. Thats legal. I still remember the time we were counting down to our 18th birthday and at the time you still had 227 days and I had 1437.

Okay I finally talked to charles in a looong time to wish him happy birthday and his friends were so sweet! We were talking then slightly after 12 his doorbell rang and when he opened the door they sang "happy birthday" to him awww. Oh well. Happy birthday buddy. (:
Okay I finally got around to changing my terribly UGLY grey and white skin. I like this one so much more (:
I must say, I was inspired by Paul, so all credit goes to him.
Not that he will see it, but oh well.

BOREDDDD.

Mood - Bored :S
Music - No One Else Knows

I'm so bored. Im blogging again. Anyway.

Do you know why I didnt say happy halloween?
Because it's pretty much anti-Christ.
Its about the celebration of the dead, bonfires.

"Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in).
Door

The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.

To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities.

During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes.(not very Christ-like is it?) When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.

By A.D. 43, Romans had conquered the majority of Celtic territory. In the course of the four hundred years that they ruled the Celtic lands, two festivals of Roman origin were combined with the traditional Celtic celebration of Samhain.

The first was Feralia, a day in late October when the Romans traditionally commemorated the passing of the dead. The second was a day to honor Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees. The symbol of Pomona is the apple and the incorporation of this celebration into Samhain probably explains the tradition of "bobbing" for apples that is practiced today on Halloween.

By the 800s, the influence of Christianity had spread into Celtic lands. In the seventh century, Pope Boniface IV designated November 1 All Saints' Day, a time to honor saints and martyrs. It is widely believed today that the pope was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, but church-sanctioned holiday. The celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the night of Samhain, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween. Even later, in A.D. 1000, the church would make November 2 All Souls' Day, a day to honor the dead. It was celebrated similarly to Samhain, with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels, and devils. Together, the three celebrations, the eve of All Saints', All Saints', and All Souls', were called Hallowmas."

Okay. You may use the last paragraph against me and say "But we're not celebrating the dead anymore, we're giving respect to the saints." (which by the way, have long died thank you) I know that lots of people are doing this for pure fun, to get sweets and all. But how can you celebrate something of whose history you dont know? And if you do, why do you do it furthermore? Okay, so festivals like lantern/mooncake festival and dumpling festival we may not know the origin, but these are part of our roots, part of our culture. But we're not even Westerners, so why do we bother to try and fit in?

Im not saying this directly to anyone, and I certainly meant no offence. Its just my point of view, so dont com slamming me unless its valid. As for me, I dont and 99.99999% sure I never will.

BUT. To each his own.

Cheers. (:
