Sewing!

I woke up early (Read: 8am) haha for breakfast! And then to accomplish my sewing mission. But I got side tracked and ended up playing with the stuffing my friend gave instead haha! And on the way, we got further side tracked and went to camwhore hahaha.

Sewing is stressful. It gives you white beard, and white hair. (:

Pretty neat huh? My first try.

And now that I'm one step closer to being a domestic goddess, my next step is to sew clothes like Liquan. Okay totally kidding. I will never reach that stage, simply because the sloth in me is too lazy to set up my sewing machine at home and I would rather hand-stich everything together. Which is what I did with my pillow.

Today is New Year's eve and I was so tired at church BOOOO. :( Next Sunday is gonna be epic. Showdown time hahaha. I don't have much to blog about. My life hasn't been that happening as of late.

Except...hmm okay went to PS yesterday to get cloth and felt for sewing stuff omg I suck at sewing here's hoping I don't destroy everything if not I will just CRY. I paid for $4 worth of stuff with a $100 note for shopping and the lady almost flipped. Had subway dinner at EYE EM EM and I finally bought my new year top! Just in time whoo.

OH EM GEE before I took a nap, I had this idea that if I (insert idea), maybe I wouldnt have horrible hair that flies in all direction when I wake up (as I always do). Then...THEN....when I woke up....NO MORE MORNING HAIR! Oh em gee I am so excited now. I found out the secret to having beautiful hair after waking up! So now, I am one step closer to being a socialite :D. So after waking up from my nap, I have (relatively) beautiful hair and now I'm more confident of going to reunion dinner without looking like I just got out of bed. (which is true, but, you know..it's the last day of new year. I need to give people a last good impression of myself hehe.)

RETAIL THERAPY MMMMM (: (it really is one way of making me happy whoo)

So yes today was a shopping trip with Amanda and Nic and I thought it was going to be a whole movie-like setting with us girls in a row, holding paper bags that read of pretty labels with our nice boots and scarves around our necks, and when we throw our heads back while laughing our silky wavy hair will be blown against the wind to create a whole 'glamorous' effect...

...But because this is Singapore it was just us in jeans/shorts walking all sweaty-faced in the hot sun trying to fish out bargains because of the too-many shopping sprees we embark on different times. Hey, a girl can dream, no?

In any case, we managed to sift out some real good buys...Mandy went back with a pair of shorts, me with a new bag for new year and a new pair of shorts (at half price omg!), and Nic with the mental note that she will come back one day to get a 1) wallet 2) water bottle 3) watch. (and just curious, why does her whole shopping list start with 'w'???)

And I totally pwned them at pool I'm ready to move on the next stage and take on my brother muahahahaha.

Sunday's church was funny. Early Sunday School with Weizhen, and breakfast. Kelvin bought moudly bread at a dubiously dingy store it was really really gross. "I was spamming Mentos" HAHAHA. Lunch and tuition on man what a tiring day. Slept for 12 hours and here I am.

Just watched Knocked Up and it's such a gross movie. It's crassy, the jokes are crude (not to mention totally not funny) and whatever whatever whatever.

Boring day. My exciting week starts on Wednesday!

2008/2009 (part 2!)

30th Dec, Tuesday
Went back to school for handbells it was so fun! Sae Rah was back and she taught us many Korean phrases ahhh!!!!!! It was mostly me asking her "how do you say <insert phrase> in Korean!!" the rest weren't really bothered. Oh man. Korean girl right in front of you, and you don't even want to learn korean?!
After that bummed around at Giselle's place before going to Simply Bread for book exchange! The funniest conversation at Giselle's place:
Gissy's mum: G? Whose shoes are these outside the door?
Giselle: Oh those are Priscilla's.
Gissy's mum: Oh she lent them to you?
Giselle: No...Priscilla is here! In our house.

I should make Gis tell her mum everytime I decide to crash next time. I told Cherry while walking out after handbells "yeahh I'm going to meet my friend. We have this book exchange thing. We read books, and then we exchange, and then we talk and discuss about them" and she gave me the "you are totally a loser" stare

. For the record, I only read them. Discussing is mostly me clearing my doubts about the book. We do not disect the book and analyse it the way we do for F451. That night, with my new stash of books, it was time to, well, hit the books haha.

31st Dec, Wednesday
Nothing much! Watchnight service at church, boys had the impromtu soccer match (at 11pm?!), and I went impromtu prawning at Farmart. It was fun, even though I didn't manage to catch any prawns. For me it was mostly drinking beer/green tea they looked the same no one cared whos cups were whose and me disecting fish for bait since I couldn't catch any prawns. Reason number1 being I suck and reason number2 being I am afraid of animals so if I catch the prawn and it is in midair I'll probably freak out and drop the prawn anyway. For the record, I didn't get drunk/high/wasted/lobster red thus I conclude I have a moderately high alcohol tolerance level

Got a lift from Joshua and ended up reaching home at 5am. My latest in my entire life. See I'm such a good girl (:.

1st Jan 2009, Thursday
Slept most of it away heh. Then I just watched House and declared Chase my new eye candy, and finished reading a book! And finished doing my organiser. I'm all geared up for 2009! The book was so well written, I almost cried. Not because the author described something like my personal experience that made me think about my sad moments and thus cry, but because the author was able to vividly portray the character's feelings, to write about them in the whole book such that you feel so much for them and when they are sad you feel their sadness too. Plus it was a really good plot. I am going to recommend it to my book friend and buy it over from the friend that lent it to me. New year resolution number1: Buy over book and lend book to my closet bookworm friend..

2nd Jan, Friday
Went back to MGS! Saw Nat nat and Nic and Mandy and Dee and other teachers. Joycelyn fetched her younger sister back from p1 so cute! Lunched at KFC and then Nic and I went to Giselle's house and we surprised Gis cos Nic wasn't supposed to come. The reason I bum around at Giselle's place a lot is that her house is relatively near everywhere which my house is nowhere near anywhere. Sigh. So everytime I'm going two places in one day, I'll end up spending time with one of my best friends and I'm certainly not complaning with that. (:

All three of us got a ride to Cheryl's house where April was already there and we played Pictionary and Taboo and more Pictionary and truth or dare and surprised Zt lol. It was just like our mornings in 3e, except with aircon and without school uniform

Then it was dinner with ~~Monica~~ Gerald Ziteng. Monica couldn't make it so that was sad ):, but hopefully that girl will come down for handbells so I can meet her (BIG HINTTTTT) but Gloria and Xinwei came along for a while so that was funny. And new year resolution number2: eat more so that I can get bigger boobs (haha gloria....)

Which kinda has been good because I'm keeping to my resolution! I ate more than Austyn in one meal, and never skipped any meal so far (so far I mean since mid December!) and after dinner (pasta mania) I ate YaKun Kaya Toast lol.

And when I got home....I FOUND MY INTERNET WORKING!!! Amazing way to end the day ma! This is awesome.

Because everyone is making resolutions, here is my 2009 resolution list to keep to. It should be fairly easy, since these are mostly small things. (Hey, as they always say, start by taking small steps right?)

New year resolution number3: Cut down on brackets in my posts. As you can tell, I have a bad habit of putting lots of brackets in my posts. It's like useless comments that people can do without but I want to waste time and put it there for fun. Almost like I'm having a monologue but whatever.
New year resolution number4: Learn a new instrument
New year resolution number5: Keep up with my "one book a week" target. I know of people who definitely read more than me. But for someone who isn't a fast reader and who only got into the habit of reading in 2007, this is enough for me. I didn't manage to do that in 2008 because my mum banned me from reading since 3 weeks before prelims, and after o's it was just a whole lot of going out I guess I neglected reading. So I finished off 2008 with 40.5 books. 0.5 because I didn't really read that book very thoroughly heh.
New year resolution number6: Cut down on my sms bill. Enough said.
New year resolution number7: Spend less money. It's a recession year, and I wanna do my part in being a good daughter (:
New year resolution number8: Do well in jc/poly. Okay this is not a simple resolution. It's incredibly tough!

Forget resolutions. (Just kidding I really do intend to keep them. Maybe not no3 for now sigh). But I did the quiz on blogthings and here's what I got.

In retrospect, I really thank God for 2008. I got to know a lot of people on a deeper level, esp Police. We only started talking in 2008, even though we've known each other since I was born. Yeah I was born a year later but whatever I'm still as matured as 999! And of course my best friend Seeyue, the SS101, Angela, everyone in 4E, and all my new friends and all my old friends, you know I cherish our friendship when we talk on msn/sms more than twice in a month, and not because of a project or homework. You've comtributed into making my life that much happier and better, and I wouldn't want to type every name there's no point boasting how many people you know(:

Looking forward, I want to trust God in bringing me through this year, it's going to be scary. I can feel it. Lol.

Anyway I'm awful tired so goodnight everyone! (:

I'm gonna recap my last few days of 2008 haha!

So. Anyway!
23rd Dec, Tuesday
Went to watch Twilight with Amanda, April, Deanna, GiselleTham, Lydia and Rivali! Being 4e-ers, we ended up talking about... O levels during lunch. After lunch at vivo's movie counter, the queue was INSANE. It could almost beat the time of the Hello Kitty craze when I was in p4 I think. Almost. So we decided to go to Plaza Sing instead and it was this whole chaotic scene...again. Twilight was, dismal and disappointing. It was moving so slowly, there was no plot development, and Edward was not hot in the movie sigh. I know they're trying to get the "love at first sight" thing, but seriously, That fast?!?!?! Giselle and I were talking througout the movie ("Hey that's not in the book!" "Oh man Carlise is so hot"), predicting what the next lines were according to the book (which they totally changed so that sucked) and we didn't miss a thing.

And wow check it out Jasper/Jackson Rathbone was boring in.....SINGAPORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If only he stayed damn it.
After the movie we just walked around...complaining of how this seemed so "immediate-post-o-level" considering we were at PS too heh. And they changed the arcade! No more magnetic coins sigh. Sat at KFC and bummed around, we never got round to playing our lightning round heh.

Went home with Gissy after that and we saw a '174' and quickly flagged it down, not pausing to think if it was going in the opposite direction. But me having the tendency of always getting lost, as luck would have it, we boarded on the wrong side and got lost. Seesh. Gerald saw me! Although we didn't cos we were in such a rush. And all for nothing! )): But anyway. We ended up at some interchange (New bridge road where in the world is that?!?!?!?) and we saw a 961 and immediately thought "It goes to mgs. Okay board!" hahaha. And the trip took us like, one and a half hours that was sad.

And then at her place, I met up with an old friend, and it was nice to catch up. Two whole years. That is a long time. We played sparklers and not forgetting, singing a birthday song (in English and Mandarin and then Susu and I just kept quiet/sang really softly because our Chinese isn't exactly excellent heh) to Giselle!Thanks gis for organising it! (: (:

24th Dec, Wednesday
I GOT A NEW PHONE OMG YAYYYY!!!! So now I'm going around gathering contact photos for the fun of it. So don't be surprised if I meet up with you and go "Hey I need a picture for contact pictures. Smile!" be sporty and strike a nice pose if not that's how you'll look like whenever you send a text to me/call me haha!
My brother lost all his belongings = making police report = making parents really angry = no more going out as planned so we just stayed at home and I ended up doing up my organiser and going to sleep early. Until some punk called me at 1230 and woke me up oh well.

25th Dec, Thursday
CHRISTMAS! Spammed everyone with Christmas texts haha. Went to church that was nice(: Went for some party of my Mom's friend. I ended up finding a nice spot and sleeping. Seriously I was so tired! Came back and slept some more. Then a few more episodes of House, and back to bed. Very eventful Christmas indeed. But at least I knew the true meaning of Christmas (: (Christmas pictures from Liquan)

Oh my goodness. What did I do?? I can't remember. If I'm not wrong, it's just sleeping at home. Not that I minded.

27th Dec, Saturday
Nothing either! Oh I wished Gerald happy bithday at 12am! Does that count? Hurhur. And it was more of working on my organiser. If you're wondering, I had to buy an organiser (knowing how disorganised I am without one. Think: not doing homework I'm meant to do/forgetting to meet people. And I'm no longer in mg = NO MORE MG DIARY OH WELL) and I saw this really pretty notebook that would be perfect for an organiser (it's GREEN! Well, black with green words but that's cool too).

Then again, it's not really that perfect as an organiser because it was a blank notebook. I hate lined notebooks haha. So that means I gotta draw in all the grids, write in all the dates, fill in all the birthdays etc I think I took about 10hours to do everything. But the plus side is that everything will be just the way I like it since I'm the designer hah! (if you see it and it turns out ugly, please pretend you never read this paragraph of my xanga thanks)

Church. Bummed around with church people. Went home, SLEEP. My life is so happening haha. But this is when my happening week starts! =D

29th Dec, Monday
Stayed at home to wait for some internet repair man to come and repair my internet but he totally sucked because he couldn't repair my internet. So I went out with my mom to get a new modem and it still didn't work (even though the internet man said it was my modem that was spoilt. How good is that?!) and I came home and...slept. Okay I also continued reading my book okay! And I was rushing to finish a book (hahaha...) which I didn't even finish on Monday anyway.
