Arts Invasion

I know.. I seem to be having an 'Our Lady Peace' obsession, but I can't help it. They're really good!

Anyway. There seems to be an invasion of the Arts these days and it's making me really happy!

Last Saturday (2806) was BBoyz And Ballerina
It was really really fun and nice. Agreed to meet Cheryl and Nic at 545 but these guys were not even fashionably late. They were EXTREMELY LATE! I called Cheryl and 545. "Uh wait. Let me finish one more math question!" Talk about hardworking man. And hence I used that time to scout for my Founder's dress with my mummy and it was successful! I now have a very pretty green dress in my wardrobe waiting to be worn on the 25th of July :)

When we got there it was pure chaos and we kept laughing until my mum shot us really disapproving looks which made us shut up haha. After the show was over, all of us (minus my mum) became super excited when we managed to take a picture with the Dancing Crew!!!! :) :)

Went outside to take lots of silly pictures. Ahh I've never felt so alive in such a long time. And the best part of the night? After we left, THE BBOYZ CREW CAME OUT AHHHH!!!! So yes. We could take individual shots without annoying people pushing us ahhhh!!

And that's about as climatic as my night went. Came back, and fell asleep.

And yesterday was Dance Night!
Sharon was really really good. She just hogged the limelight (which is a good thing) and it was so amazing to see her dance. WOW. It was my first dance night, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. After the show we went to explore the school and it was really cool. MG looks really pretty at night I must say (: and we sneaked up to the rooftops haha! And this time I stayed longer than two minutes.

Last time I went was during Band(age), with NicH. And we went there, got so hyped up, but didn't know what to do. So after taking photos as evidence we made it to the rooftops, we were like," Um...alright let's go back. Cheap thrill's over" HAHAHA.

This time I stayed to walk to whole place, and admired the stars because the school was so dark. Where I stay, it's too bright to see any stars. Especially when the government just decided to construct a lamppost directly behind my backyard. (read: less than one metre away from my house urgh) Talk about lack of privacy or dian deng pao sigh.

Anyway. After looking at the stars I made my way down to kap to meet my family. And I bumped into Abraham. For like, the third time in a night seesh. And guess who I saw at Kap! AMY AND SEEYUE! :D hahahhahaha we were just talking and laughing our heads off. (:

And today is my sister's choir concert at the Esplanade. I can't blog about it because I haven't seen it yet. (rather obviously) But Rodney and John is going, and so is Daniel hahaha. Daniel and I were comparing tickets today.

Me: Where are you sitting!
Dan: I don't know. I paid $20 for mine. You?
Me: Oh I'm sitting in circle1. Complimentary.

WOOHOO.

Three arts events in one week. Really cool. And coming up is the handbells concert yay! Just that. We need tons more practice haha. Come on guys! We can do it! On the other hand, another not so cool arts event is my piano exam, which is driving me nuts. But I have Rodney to teach me! Hahaha today's lunch was really really funny. Lenard is seriously the best. "Problem solved!" Hahahahah. (sorry inside joke, can't say here)

Anyway. Today was laser quest. And it's quite fun! Albeit REALLY REALLY TIRING. Even though it was for only ten minutes, it's enough to make you pant. It's crazy cool! And scary. Haha Yiwen and I just kept screaming and shouting for each other. Which is a good thing really. Just scream right in their faces and they get scared and run off. Then you shoot them HAHA.

And the most coincidental thing? Luke went laser quest too! That's so cool. (: Ahh okay my daddy cooked supper. Toodles! :)

My mum watched it last night, and she went "Oh dear..what kind of show are you watching!" Because it was the part with all the phallic symbols and crude jokes haha! And my dad just laughs it off and tells me "Can you play the movie again? I wanna watch the in-between parts that I missed" HAHA!

Anyway. That aside, today I had a hair cut! And coincidentally, my friend had a hair cut too!

Meet Me Halfway

I. Am. Very. Tired.
The whole weekend I've just been sleeping sleeping sleeping.
And the only reason why I'm blogging is because lots of people have updated they're blogs today. And I don't wanna be left behind HAHAH I'm kidding about the last part.
But seriously. I've been sleeping a lot.

Friday I came back from handbells. Hardly did any work and fell asleep around 1230.
Intended to wake up at 7.30 but then LIM ZITENG DIDN'T SMS ME SO I DIDN'T WAKE UP
And instead woke up at 9.30 which is still early by normal standards, considering I normally get up at 11 haha.
Visited Grandfather and hung out with Kel Kel haha he's the most unglam person ever! And he's flying off to Dubai on Thursday. I'll miss my cousin :(
Got back, and fell asleep for eternity, before I forced myself to go for tuition.
Got back from tuition, WATCH WU ZUN and read The Tenth Circle and wasted a lot of smses in the process of reading haha!
Slept around 1.30 and intended to wake up at 8.20 to do work.

But then I kept snoozing my alarm, and the funny thing was that my sister kept snoozing her alarm so instead of waking up every ten minutes to re-snooze my alarm both of us ended up waking up every five minutes snoozing each other's alarm because we can't stand it haha!

Finally decided to get my ass off my bed and did some work. Then finished the last bit of the book and went to church. And I was so tired I just couldn't concentrate on projectionist duty I kept screwing up hahahah I could feel BOTH my father and brother's taps on my back telling me I'm at the wrong slide sigh :(

Fell asleep during Sunday School, and stayed back in church to study Amath with Isaac and MR LIM CHENG KEN as our teacher haha! And then the funniest thing just happen! (Okay, it's very freaky also) but anyway I just pretended to be Ken so that this girl would stop stalking him and its' super hilarious! We spent most of out time laughing our asses off and attracting disapproving glances because it was so funny we kept laughing at every message we received. And the worst part? She seemed to know my number!
"You're not Ken..pris right?" OH MY CRAP HOW DID SHE DO THAT! I wish I had some power like hers. To know who's number it is without asking. Haha.

Got back. And took a what was meant to be 15minute nap that turned out to be a more than one hour nap.

AND I'M STILL TIRED. And I've done less than half my assigned work. How screwed is that can you tell me. :(

For the person I'm talking to online now: I know it's tough. But please, hold on, because a love like that is hard to find.

I ran and ran and ran. And I'm so freaking exhausted now. My legs feel like they're gonna give way any time soon.
I cannot believe I am going to retake my five items this Thursday. If I feel too shitty, I'll just settle for the imperfect score and die. My legs have nooo more strength! I don't feel like climbing up three floors to reach my study room :(

Basically I'm just going on and on about how much my legs hurt.
Although I didn't get my aim of either getting under 12minutes or beating ______, which is sad, considering I never ever hit my targets and overshot by super long, the good thing was that
i) it was my best timing ever
ii) I BEAT LIM ZITENG HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA :D

I shall take a break from studying today and play piano and read :)

Record!

Okay I didn't intend to blog. But this is a totally blog-worthy moment!
After a very stressful day at school, I came home to destress, and I sound so nerd, but playing minesweeper flags is really fun. And look what came out of it. A NEW HIGH SCORE!

WOOWWW! Cool huh!

Alright today school was so so so tiring. I was all geared up for 2.4 when it started raining sigh. So we went back to class, and studied the whole day. I even paid attention during history! How cool is that! See I told you that it was a blog-worthy thing. :)

And then after school I went to Popular and got pencils! Hey don't laugh alright, pencils are so important! My dear old pencil spoilt, and that left me in a very cranky mood, because in the end I had use some super NOOB pencil that was so gay oh my goodness. And other reasons I shall not say why I took so long to get a new pencil haha!

Anyway. I really need to go study now. I have two weeks to revise, study AND remember one and a half years of work. TOODLES!

Anyway I realise I haven't been updating much, even though I'm always online aha!
BECAUSE! I've been getting major major music fixes it is so cool!
And I was putting songs into Cheryl's thumbdrive, and I put so many until her thumbdrive ran out of space and only had something like 135kb (not mb) left haha!

Anyway school has been somewhat slack. Today was such a horrible day at school.
We had some speech thing and like the first girl was just TOTALLY WEIRD. Like, suddenly I seem so normal. And even YUXI would seem perfectly sane and normal beside her. Everyone in my class just went "??" it was rather funny. But yeah. I fell asleep for like, more than half the thing.

"You slept for thirty minutes."
[Like, sleep but stir a bit here and there? Or really sleep until never move?]
"Sleep until never move. Everyone was looking at you"

Haha! But don't write me off a lazy! I was studying history last night! That's why I was so tired yawnnn. And PE was such a crazy affair. I am even more certain now that I'll never get my perfect score this year :(
Got back a few tests, which I barely passed. This sucks okay I've never felt so sad in the whole week.

But when I came home, I got my music fix so I'm much happier :)
And look! I did my good deed for the day!

Anyway. My class is kinda retarded these days. I think it must be the stress that secretly affects us, so we come to school to destress. And end up playing weird games like would you rather, and questions like

Sunday!
I cannot remember the last time I woke up at 7.45am on a Sunday morning. It's so early! Okay actually I think I remember. It was when I went to Tiffany's church! But anyway. My friend woke me up and I made my way to FMC for captain's ball!
Okay I didn't make my own way there, I met my friend at the station! Because..I would surely get lost. Oh man I almost got lost in the MRT station beat that sigh.

Saw Vicky, Gerald, Gloria, and camwhored just a tiny tiny tiny bit with Ziteng and all BUT BUT BUT he had to delete the nice shots that I took arghhh.

Captain's Ball! It was SO HOT SO HOT I could have just died playing. Thank goodness for iced-water packed in sealed plastic cups that we splashed open (: Okay then apparently there's a tradition where pupils play against teachers and yea, Charissa kept saying "They always play dirty!" Haha but in any case we (both boys team and girls team) LOST :(

Anyway. Met new people there. And I swear Jeremy thinks I'm retarded.

Haha yes I knew that okay! Anyway. I got wet (again) and we were trying to do yoga poses and it was super funny trying to see all the guys trying (admist in vain) to contort themselves while the girls just "What's so difficult about it?" HAHA.

Changed, and went for lunch at PS and Carl's Junior. The way everyone was trying to hide their Chippy's food and all. OH we played the thumb game, and I'm super good at it! (haha as if)
Then we went to Yamaha and my friend bought me drum sticks! But I'm still crazy lousy at it, so like, ahh damn it. Bought sexy red guitar picks! Oh man they're so cool, but at the wrong thickness so OH WELL.

Went back to study a bit of Chemistry and History (I officially hate history ARGH!) and learnt a bit of the drums and oh my goodness I seriously think I suck sigh. BUT I will learn it soon! :D:D

Went out for dinner with my Aunt and Grand Uncle and Grand Auntie which was quite cool since I never expected I'd be able to carry out a decent conversation.

OKAY THIS IS MY HIGHLIGHT OF THE WHOLE POST!
LIM ZITENG IS SLOWER THAN ME!

Ahaha yes yes yes!
So today, being April Fools, my class wanted to fool our teachers but then Mrs Tee was sick so we were kind and just paid attention haha. And then Miss Lau tried fooling us by suddenly making us separate our tables and giving us a quiz. Which actually turned out to be our homework. So, yes, she fooled us heh.

For English we all switched places and pretended so sleep. And Miss Chuah was like "Hey don't think I don't know it's April Fools okay" And then everyone started talking in every language they knew except English. (Like Yanka and her Hindi, Rivali and her Bengali and what nots) Oh man it was so hilarious.

BUT BUT BUT. All these cannot be compared to this!
Ziteng tried to fool me by sending some sms saying "Oh you know what? I've actually ________..." And then I sent him another sms that totally shocked him and then he was like "It's an april fool's joke. IS YOUR STATEMENT REAL?!" HAHAHAHHA ziteng you're so slow! :D

New Layout!

Nathan auditioned for Band(age) yesterday. And they played All Time Low's Six Feet Under The Stars :) I hope they get in. They're really good!
Passed him Copeland. I think he spoilt it.
Either that or its my cd that's spoilt. :(

On a different note, I've changed my layout! But it's almost similar to my old template (made by Twin woohoo) because
1) I'm too lazy to change link colours
2) Brown goes with the new image anyway
3) I haven't made a template in more than one year, my html skills are very lousy

I know it's a very simple template. No photoshop and all, and I like it that way, because I think there is beauty in simplicity. :)

On a sad note, I realised all the templates I make are mostly the same. Like, very similar.
I seriously need some dose of originality.

Yesterday I finally started writing down my thoughts again, after more than 6 months. While I used to write really often (at least once a week), I suddenly stopped, because I didn't want to remember the way I was leading my life.
Now I don't pen down events, only thoughts and random (attempted) poetry or just free writing.

I figured, if something was so striking you want to remember it,
You wouldn't need to write it down because it is etched in your memory.
Maybe I'll return to documenting my life on paper one day. Just maybe.

Proper Update

Okay it's not really a proper update. There's nothing much to update anyway.
For the record, I'm single through and through and have no more desire to get into another relationship until I'm past JC. Yeah.

And I've learnt how to do the Rubik's Cube with ONE HAND! But it takes awful long to finish it. And I hope Seeyue's learnt how to finish it. Haha.

On Saturday was kinda like Family Day, unofficially. My dad was so weird and wanted to bring the whole family to Macs for breakfast. Which didn't really end up too well haha :(
Then I skipped lunch because breakfast was awful filling, but my dad insisted on feeding me food, but the food I ate turned out to be like. Spoilt. :S
So I just ate some shortbread (omgg I love it!) and stuff.
Then the whole family tripped down to Billy Bombers for dinner, only to find out that we couldn't use the vouchers because it was a public holiday :( :(
And our bill came up to...worse than the coffee club's bill. HAHA.
And we saw a few church people, but thats about it.

Then my siblings and I walked around while my parents went to wherever.
And I psychoed my brother to borrow The Notebook for me! :D (And other NC16 movies haha)
My sis forbidded me to borrow any M18 movies, so, yeah. HAHA.

Bahhhh oh I got a new album!

Okay okay, 1 and a half. :(
On Thursday, I managed to persuade Luke to pay for my Dashboard album!
WOOHOOOO!
And on Saturday, I managed to persuade my brother to buy KT Tunstall instead of Kelly Clarkson because frankly, I can't stand the new Kelly Clarkson. :)

You know that's what every one says. That they want to be different. Then why is it that they buy the same magazines everyone buy, and look at what the models are wearing, thinking that they'll look as glamorous as them, and purchase the exact same item? Or why do they listen to the same songs as everyone else does and put them in their mp3s or handphones, and blast them out in the bus? (which by the way is highly annoying because there are some people [aka me] who actually want to take a short rest in the bus) They see a person doing the same thing as them, and then they go "walau eh, copycat." But did they ever stop to think that they are the ones copying people? Then they might go "if these items are in the magazine but yet not to be bought, why put it there?" Well the point is to inspire, and to spark creativity, not for you to make a carbon copy out of it. And why limit yourself to the stuff you hear on radio? Find another avenue to listen to music, and not just be biased that only music on the radio is good music. And dont just copy what other people say and do, because it's not always good, it's not always right. And most of all, it's not always you. Why limit yourself to what other people expect of you? As long as you know that you've done what is most like your personality, and its truly you and original, then you can go ahead and be proud of it. Don't suppress yourself and mould yourself into what you want, and not buy one of those mass-produced factory moulds and try and fit yourself into it. First it just irks me (hahaha), and secondly, it doesnt do any justice to yourself. God created everyone to be who they were, not just mass-produce people. And He loves everyone for who they are, and wouldnt it be sad if someone wanted your own unique creation to be like someone else's, like every one else's? Sad isnt it?

Okay I just typed a whole load of nonsense. If you have the time, you can go ahead and read it. If not, well, whatever hahaha.

And to end of with a statement that just contradicts everything,

"everyone's different, which is another way of saying everyone isn't."

HAHA.
